The story
The driver never turns around. He's a voice through the cab's intercom — a Pendergast-era wheelman named Whitey — feeding you clues and running a clock while the cab moves between five real stops across 1930s Kansas City.
There's no room to sit in. The city is the room. You'll work a case built from the wide-open era of this town — bootleggers, ward bosses, a police force that looked the other way — using landmarks that are still standing.
Ninety minutes, sometimes a hundred and twenty if your group is slow to let go of a wrong theory. Five people to a cab, one fare, one clock.
What happens
You climb in.
Whitey lays out the case over the intercom before the cab moves.
Five stops, one piece of the puzzle each.
You work each one on foot, in view of the cab.
